- Newfoundlanded and Labrador (Working Title) -
Winter and Spring, 2021
NewfoundLanded and Labrador (Working Title) is a theatre project that will focus on the experience of immigrants and refugees in our province.
Through NewfoundLanded and Labrador (Working title), we want to connect directly with immigrants, refugees and people that have had first-hand relationships with them across the province and ask about their experiences in Newfoundland and Labrador, collecting information that will serve as source material for the development of a new theatrical script that honours the vibrant, colourful, melanin-rich, and diverse Newfoundland and Labrador of today. The content of this piece will inherently be shaped by the research, though questions will be tailored to explore universal themes such as death, love, family, friendship, nature, adaptability, rejection, faith, heritage, etc.
Our goal with this project is to bring untold stories to the stage, foster a platform for immigrants and refugees’ voices in the province to be heard, celebrated, and acknowledged; increase representation in the local theatre industry, and also diversify the audience that attends theatre in Newfoundland and Labrador.
This project will bring together a team of diverse artists to craft a script which weaves the stories gathered during the interviewing process.

Santiago Guzmán is currently developing two plays through Eastern Front Theatre's RBC Emerging Playwrights Program in Halifax, NS, and the Playwriting Unit with Paprika Festival in Toronto, ON.
In Urn two siblings decide where to put their mother's ashes after her passing: their adopted country or their home country. Home? Where is home? Urn has recently been selected to be part of PARC - Playwrights Atlantic Resource Centre's (remote) Colony 2020, supporting its development.
In Diez Grados en Mayo, a young newcomer embraces his adopted country, its culture, and his relationships, when his mother visits from his home country.
The development of Juan, Juana, G'wan-Neetah has been supported by the National Theatre School’s Arts-Apart Program and the City of St. John’s.
Through the art of drag, this play follows the journey of self-discovery of an immigrant in Canada that comes to terms with his sexuality.
These three plays will be set in Newfoundland and will explore multicultural stories from this province. TODOS Productions will be looking at producing these plays in the future.

- ALTAR -
Santiago Guzmán’s ALTAR (originally produced by TODOS production in September of 2019) has been selected to be part of RCAT’s 2020-2021 season, which will include a provincial tour and community engagement. The show will be developed and produced by the RCAT, in collaboration with TODOS Productions.
- SPACES for TODOS (Workshop Series) -
Later this year TODOS would like to host a workshop series where diverse artists from the local Newfoundland and Labrador community teach an hour-long master class on theatrical approaches or devices with their expertise, inviting all artists to join.
The goal is to bring people together with different levels of skills and experience in a room, learn from each other, share, network, and most importantly create a platform and a safe space for other artists to lead the room. Ideally, this will foster relationships with diverse folks in our community.
